If you know what fruit juice to drink you just order, for the adventurous like me, you can request the boss to mix it for you. They also serve fried foods like siput, lala, siham, siham kwey teow, fried chicken, salad you tiow, etc. I would personally recommend the fried siput here because they have a generous amount of chili and black pepper stirred fried into it. You can also try the siham kwey teow. Actually most of their food are nice, no doubt about it.
They open in the afternoon till nite around 11 pm. During the afternoons, there will be another stall selling duck noodles at the front of the shop. If you are going there for lunch you can choose either the shop’s trademark dishes or the duck noodles, its all up to you.
The address for this shop is: No. 2, Jalan Penjaja 3, 83000 Batu Pahat, Johor.
The boss name is Harry, if you do drop by for a visit say hello for me.
The various types of mug sizes displayed on the wall. The smallest ones are plastic mugs while medium and large are of the glass types.
One of the racks showing where the boss keep the fruits. There are some which are being kept in the fridge to retain their freshness.
The simple menu on the wall showing all the fruit juices. Mixed drinks are not featured because Mr. Harry (the boss) is very accomodating to the needs of his customers, if his customers wants to drink apple mixed with soursop, he can mix them but he will warn them if the drink is too sour to their liking. That’s what I like about him, his honest opinion.
The master at work, mixing apple and honey dew. He doesn’t want to show his face, shy la this boss. LOL.
The picture below shows part of the kitchen. This is where most of the frying takes place, like siham kwey teow, fried lala/siput sedut/siham, etc.
The 3 sizes drinks as displayed below. Small, Medium and Big. RM2, RM3 and RM 5. Usually for big mugs, the boss will put honeydew slices in it unless its watermelon juice, then it will be watermelon slices.
I go to his shop for their famed fried siput. Its actually ‘balitong’ stir fried with dried chilli and black pepper. For those who can stand spicyness, this is the real deal, for those who can’t you can keep ordering the drinks.
Last but not least, this is also a must have there. Siham Kwey Teow, its fried with a generous amount of siham (cockles). This shop do not sell pork, so for those who crave their kwey teow with ‘bak yew pok’, then sorry lah.
